Mark Sellors is an experienced technologist, working at the intersection of data science, people and computers.

He has extensive experience with open-source and cloud technologies and was the founder of the ‘Data Engineering London’ meetup group, as well as the author of the ‘Field Guide to the R Ecosystem’. He has more than 15 years experience working with high-profile enterprise clients - both in the UK and globally - helping organisations transform their analytic capability to ensure they can make the most of their data using modern best practices and techniques.

Mark is the founder of the R4Pi project which aims to make it easier to use R on the Raspberry Pi family of computers. He is also a member of the board at Data Orchard, a UK based consultancy working primarily in the not-for-profit and public sectors.

Why “sellorm”? (Pronounced: sell-orm) Many years ago, when I started my first ‘proper’ IT job I was assigned the username, “sellorm”. I started using it elsewhere online, it stuck, and I’ve used it everywhere ever since!
